How Review Works
An editor confirms the date, venue, and organizer against an official announcement before publishing. If an event changes or is cancelled, send us the update and we will revise the listing promptly.
What We Need
Include the event name, official date and start time (Eastern Time), venue and address, organizer, admission or cost, registration link, and a source we can verify. Recurring events need an official schedule. We will mark cancellations and changes when organizers announce them.
We prioritize public events open to Indian Land-area residents: community markets, library and county programs, charity runs, and seasonal celebrations. Private club events limited to members of a community — for example at Sun City Carolina Lakes — are not listed as public events. We never invent recurring schedules; each date must be confirmed by the organizer.
Published events appear on the Events page. Venue and business information follows the same rules as our local directory.
Details We Need
Please include the event name, date, start and end times, the venue's full address, the organizer's name, and a public page where readers can confirm details. Tell us whether the event is free or ticketed and whether registration is required. If the venue is outside Indian Land — for instance in Fort Mill or Ballantyne — say so; we label places by their actual jurisdiction.
We review submissions under our editorial policy and may decline events we cannot verify. Recurring activities such as farmers' markets or community walks may be better suited to Eat & Discover or Parks & Recreation.
Community and HOA Events
Many events in Indian Land are run by homeowners associations for their residents only. Please tell us if an event is open to the public. Readers comparing neighborhoods often want to know what amenities and programming are included in dues, which we cover in HOA amenities and separate memberships and the Compare Communities table.
