How Review Works

An editor checks each submission against the business's own website and public records, confirms the address and operating status, and records a verification date. Listings are rechecked periodically and updated or removed when details change.

What We Need

Please include the business name, street address, category (restaurant, coffee, shopping, recreation, everyday service, or home service), official website, and your relationship to the business. We verify location and operating status before listing, and we label whether a business is in Indian Land, Ballantyne, or Fort Mill.

Home and property service businesses are welcome too — builders, designers, inspectors, and landscapers — provided they can show current South Carolina licensing where it is required. We list them neutrally and disclose any affiliation with our network.

We do not publish ratings, reviews, or menus. Listings appear in the local directory and the relevant Eat & Discover page. Sponsorship inquiries go to Advertise.

Review Timeline

We review submissions in the order received and may contact you to confirm details. A listing can be updated or removed at the business's request through Contact.

What Makes a Strong Submission

The most useful submissions give us what a reader needs to verify the business on their own: the business's legal name, a public website or social profile, a street address or service area, and the hours you would like readers to see. Tell us whether the business is physically in the Indian Land area of Lancaster County or nearby — for example in Fort Mill or near Ballantyne — because we label location carefully.

Submissions are reviewed under our editorial policy. We do not publish reviews, ratings, or claims we cannot confirm, and a listing is never a paid endorsement. If you are interested in sponsorship instead, see Advertise.

Where Listings Appear

Approved listings are considered for Eat & Discover, Parks & Recreation, and Everyday Essentials, depending on what the business offers. Events go through Submit an Event. If information on an existing listing is wrong, use the corrections page.
